How to Install or Upgrade P6 Professional Using an "MSI" Installer, Instead of a Standard ClickOnce Installation (Oracle Cloud-Hosted Customers Only)

Information in this document applies to any platform.
The recommended method for installing P6 Professional for Oracle Cloud-hosted users is via ClickOnce: browse to the Cloud portal, click the Install P6 Professional link, and download and run the P6 Professional installer. This installs the P6 application on the user's computer and configures the connections to the customer's Cloud databases. However, there are certain situations where that method may not be suitable - for example:
- A company's security policies prevent software installation by end users.
- A company requires the P6 Professional application to be packaged for distribution and deployment to users' workstations through a central IT service.
- The application is to be installed on a Terminal Services or Citrix server for access by multiple users.
- Only one or some Cloud environment(s) have been upgraded, requiring users to have a separate P6 Professional installation that matches the new environment version while retaining the older-version P6 to access the non-upgraded environment(s). It is not possible to have two ClickOnce installations on a computer.
For these situations, Oracle Cloud-hosted customers can open a Service Request to obtain the "MSI" installation media of the appropriate version for their Cloud environment (typically after an environment has been upgraded).
