New Items on Dynamic Item Lists Do Not Reflect on Promotion (Doc ID 2751620.1)

Last updated on APRIL 24, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Pricing Cloud Service - Version 19.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Actual Behavior

In Oracle Retail Pricing Cloud Service (RPCS), you can use Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS) item-list to define conditions or reward items for promotion. And you can specify a rebuild of the item-list at the time you use it. However, RPCS explodes the item-list immediately and does not appear to store the original item-list used. Hence if the item-list is rebuilt in RMS, the Promotion would not be updated.

Expected Behavior

The promotion should be updated automatically.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a dynamic item-list in RMS based on specific criteria.
2. Use the item-list to define a promotion in RPCS. Select the "rebuild" option when using the item-list.
3. Note that the item-list is exploded into RPM_PROMO_OFFER_COND_MERCH without any apparent reference to the item-list.
4. Now rebuild or alter the item-list in RMS. Note that the promotion is not updated, even if it has not started yet.
