Information in this document applies to any platform.
This note was created for Release 11.13.20.10.0 0. The note has been reviewed and is current for release 11.13.21.01.0.

Symptoms

When attempting to view payslip in Person Management using a custom Payroll Manager Data Role, the following error occurs:

ERROR
-----------------------

Error 401--unauthorized

The request requires user authentication. The response must include a WWW-Authenticate header field (section 10.46) containing a challenge applicable to the request resource. The client may repeat the request with a suitable Authorization header field (section 14.8). If the request already included Authorization credentials, then the 401 response indicates that authorization has been refused for those credentials. If the 401 response contains the same challenge as the prior response, and the user agent has already attempted authentication at least once, then the user should be presented the entity that was given in the response, since that entity may include relevant diagnostic information. HTTP access authentication is explained in section 11.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
1. Go to My Client Group -> Person Management.
2. Search For the Employee and entered Employment Page.
3. Go to Tasks -> View Payslip.
4. Search for required Payslip and the error occurs.
