Fusion Global HR: Still OK to Use Transaction Console (Simplified UI) versus BPM When There Are More than 25 Rules? (Doc ID 2753005.1)

Last updated on MARCH 07, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Fusion Global Human Resources Cloud Service - Version 11.13.20.10.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Change Assignment Approval Process currently has about 156 rules in it.
Since none of these rules were advanced rules, HCM Transaction Approval (simplified UI) was used.

Found the Documentation: https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/human-resources/20d/faigh/notifications-and-approvals.html#FAIGH796365 :
-------------------------------
"Guidelines for Managing Approval Rules"

"When to Use the BPM Worklist"

Use the BPM Worklist to:

+ Configure notifications, including when notifications are issued
+ Configure process details, such as expiration and escalation policies
+ Define approval groups
+ Define approval rules in advanced mode

You should use the BPM Worklist instead of the HCM Simplified UI if you are configuring complex rules.
The simplified UI does not display more than 25 rules and does not allow more than 10 approvers in a single rule.
-------------------------------

Above seem to suggest simplified UI has a limitation of 25 rules.

Assuming business does not need advanced mode, can they keep using Simplified UI even with 156 rules?
Or, recommend switching to BPM to maintain rules going forward?
