Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When attempting to create a new project by copying from an existing project and setting a planned start date in the future, the new project will use the 'copied' project's planned start date.

It is expected that the Project Planned Start date to be what is entered by the user when adding the new project.

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Create a new project on P6 Web
  2. Select advanced
  3. Select copy from existing project
  4. Change on General Project Planned Start in the future
  5. Press the button to create
  6. Start Project for the new project is equal with the start project from the copied project, not with the value selected.
