Contracts are no longer auto-approving and stuck Pending Approval

Contracts to get auto-approved

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
Auto Approval setup for Contracts in BPM
Submit Contract for approval
Review that Contract is still in Pending Approval Status

BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot approve contracts
