Purpose

This note is intended to describe how to fix corruption at the object level.

IMPORTANT

This is to be used only when recovery using a backup or a standby database is not an option.

Otherwise, RMAN Block Media Recovery can be used to repair the corruption. Refer to Doc ID 1578.1 OERR: ORA-1578 "ORACLE data block corrupted (file # %s, block # %s)" Master Note
