Oracle Fusion General Ledger Cloud Service - Version 11.13.21.01.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
Users have a BIP report that uses secured view XLA_TRANSACTION_ENTITIES which provides data based on user access in the application. XLA_TRANSACTION_ENTITIES is a secured object and has a VPD policy defined for it. This table cannot be normally used as an SQL user .So, user who has appropriate role can query XLA_TRANSACTION_ENTITIES table data. If below data role is added to user who execute SQL query, he /she will be able to see transactions related to AP
(Please wait 30 minutes after adding below data role to user before validating data)
(Role)
1.Display Name : Accounts Payable Manager
2.Display Name : Accounts Payable Specialist
Assign Business units related to the data on above role
Note: Similarly, in order to see transactions related to AR, use role ==> Accounts Receivable Manager. Users who have General Accounting Manager role assigned can view transaction data for all modules(AP,AR etc)
This document provides an alternative approach for the specific scenario where end users do not wish to give AP/AR manager roles to multiple users ,but at the same time the data for the custom BI report must be made accessible to these users.
