Unifier System Error 'The system could not process your request' When Trying to Use a Custom Print After a Task Is Accepted (Doc ID 2773595.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to use multiple Custom Prints with the associated Business Process, the following error occurs when the user has accepted the workflow task.

The system could not process your request. Logging in again may help in some cases. Contact your System Administrator if you are still having problems.

If no user has accepted the current task, then the Custom Print can be utilized without error. This problem started after patching from 20.12.1 to 20.12.2 and it worked prior to the patch.

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log into the Unifier Environment.
  2. Navigate to the Project/Shell where the Business Process is enabled > BP Upper node >  Business Process Node
  3. Open a BP Record and go to Accept Task (if not already accepted) > Menu Options > Print > Custom...
  4. Select a Custom Print Template.
  5. The reported error occurs.
  6. If "Undo Accept Task" is selected and a the user attempts to use the Custom Print again, this time the print will be successful and no error will be displayed.
