BICC GL Balance and Journal Extract Performance Issue (Doc ID 2774020.1)

Symptoms

Oracle Business Intelligence Cloud Connector (BICC) is being used to to extract Balances and Journals from Fusion General Ledger and performance issues are observed considering the volume of data.  Also, if filters are removed, the job is timing out (see error message below).
