Unable To Complete A Transaction When ReSA Rule Is Violated (Doc ID 2778255.1)

Symptoms

In ReSA, when user keys in a transaction which violates a ReSA Rule, the application throws an error with the rule details when user clicks on save & close. When user tries to rectify the data error, the application throws an error "Another user has updated the current record" and looses the entire transaction. 

Steps To Recreate:

  1. Set up a ReSA Rule. Ex: A rule which will trigger if SA_TRAN_ITEM.REF_NO_8 is NULL.
  2. Activate the Rule.
  3. Key in a transaction, Key in an item with REF_NO_8 as blank. Key in other details like Tender information etc.
  4. From the Transaction screen, click on Save and Close.
  5. ReSA throws the rule-error.
  6. User goes to the item screen to rectify the data mistake i.e. populating REF_NO_8 with some value and clicks Ok
  7. From the transaction screen, user clicks on Save and Close.
  8. ReSA throws an error "Another user has updated the current record. Please refresh/reopen your screen".
  9. User looses all transaction data and has to start afresh, resulting in Bad User Experience.
