Primavera Gateway Jobs In Delegated Status After a Big Data Synchronizations Scheduled From P6 To Primavera Cloud (Doc ID 2778918.1)

Last updated on MAY 25, 2021

Applies to:

Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management Cloud Service - Version 20.12 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

It was noticed that in Primavera Gateway the scheduled jobs goes to status 'Delegated'.
There are several jobs scheduled at precise time intervals and all the preceding jobs should be completed or cancelled until the next one will start.

Each parent job containing about 1500 child jobs in which a simple P6 to OPC synchronization is done.
The jobs are scheduled in such a way that, after predecessor job run, the next job will pick up so that can maintain the data update sequence as intended for their end users.

Normally there should be 8 synchronizations jobs processed in the same time instead of 4, because there are two nodes for this server and each node should be able to run 4 jobs at a time.

  1. Schedule parent synchronization jobs in Gateway
  2. Notice at some point that the parent jobs are in 'Delegated' status
  3. Notice that only 4 jobs are processed at a time, instead of 8 processing threads
