For the Pool filter in Candidate Search, what is the logic behind the filter?

Example:

If there are two different pools:

• Pool A
• Pool B

When both of them are selected in the filters, does it retrieve all of the candidate in Pool A or Pool B?  Or does the filter consider only the candidates who are in both Pool A and Pool B?
