Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 106.0.0 version, BI

AWS PrivateLink is configured to enable secure access to Snowflake without traversing the public Internet.  In this way, Snowflake will be accessed via a hostname like:  <account>.<region>.privatelink.snowflakecomputing.com

A Private Access Channel (PAC) is configured for OAC to enable access to the PrivateLink Snowflake database. The PrivateLink Snowflake hostname resolves successfully (to the private IP Addresses) when checked via nslookup executed on a compute instance in the same subnet as the PAC endpoint. But creating and saving a Snowflake Connection in OAC (/dv > Create > Connection) - using the same PrivateLink Snowflake hostname - fails, and the following error is thrown:

Failed to save the Connection. Invalid Host name
