ODI BICC to ADW Mapping Fails on "Wait for extract to complete" with "HTTP status : 500 : Internal Server Error" or "Connection reset" (Doc ID 2783686.1)

Symptoms

When running a Business Intelligence Cloud Connector (BICC) job in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) using the LKM BICC to ADW External Tables knowledge module, one of the following errors occur during the "Wait for extract to complete" step:

Case 1 

The job may be a part of a load plan that contains dozens, if not several hundred BICC mappings executed in parallel.
