Create Accounting Error Lease Payment Approval: Subledger Accounting was unable to retrieve a value for the accounting flexfield account rule. Cause: GL account can't be derived by account rule. (Doc ID 2787553.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to run Create Accounting for Lease Accounting,
the following error occurs for the Clearing and Liability accounts on Lease Payment Approval journal entry:

ERROR
-----------------------
Subledger Accounting was unable to retrieve a value for the accounting flexfield account rule.
 Cause: GL account can't be derived by account rule.
 Action: Review the account rule definition and the extract source values, if applicable, for the event and make sure a valid GL account can be derived for the
subledger journal entry.


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. setup Lease Accounting and add leases
2. generate payments
3. run Create Accounting. See this error in Create Accounting Execution Report.
