Symptoms

 When attempting to import transactions for Balance Explanations via Smart View and Reconciliation Compliance, the following error occurs.

ERROR
-----------------------
Unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application. If you click
Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue.

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:


1. In Microsoft Excel via Smart's Panel, add and establish private ARCS connection <http(s)://server_name:port_number/arm/arcs/svp>
2. From Excel menu bar, select Reconciliation Compliance add-in.
3. Click on Initialize icon button.
4. In the Initialize Transactions window, set the following parameters for example.

Transaction Type = Balance Explanations
Format = Zero Balance Account

5. Click on the Ok button.

6. In the Excel spreadsheet, enter Account ID and Transaction Date information.
7. Click on the Import icon button.
8. In the Import Transactions window, set the following parameters for example.

Transaction Type = Balance Explanations
Period = Jan 2019
Mode = Add

9. Click on Ok button.
