RMFCS Does Not Allow Container ID To Be Repeated Accross Locations (Doc ID 2794571.1)

Last updated on MAY 17, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service - Version 19.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

RMFCS prevents ASNs from being created in case the container ID has already been used for another location.
This means that the supplier cannot reuse the containers (pallets, boxes, etc.) as if the supplier tries to ship one container to location A that a year ago has been by coincidence used to ship to location B, the system will not allow it.

This location and carton combination is not valid or has already been received

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. In create order screen in RMFCS and create a PO against supplier A for a warehouse.
2. Then create a PO against supplier B for a warehouse.
3- Go to ship purchase order screen and create an ASN for the above 2 POs, one ASN per location using the same container ID
4- Error thrown on the screen stating: "This location and carton combination is not valid or has already been received"
