Fusion Global HR: Release 13 Update 21C Changes to the Change Personal Information Approval Rule for Primary Phone, Email, Address and National ID (Doc ID 2797133.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 16, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Fusion Global Human Resources Cloud Service - Version 11.13.21.07.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Details

Currently Change Personal Information approval rule evaluates the primary address, phone, email or national identifier record regardless of the record being acted upon.
In release 21 D, this behavior will change so that the approval rule will evaluate the record that is being acted upon, regardless of whether it is primary or not.

Actions

While the expectation is that most users will want the new functionality that will be delivered in 21 D, there may be some that would like to maintain the existing behavior of referencing the primary record.

If you want to benefit from the 21 D functionality, there is no action required.
If you would like to maintain the current behavior, update your approval rule to reference the new primary flag attribute before 21D upgrade. See the attachment below that explains the different potential scenarios and the actions that you can take to maintain the existing behavior.
