Last updated on SEPTEMBER 18, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Commerce Cloud Service - Version 21.3.6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Details

In order to help improve email delivery, starting on August 16, 2021, Oracle will update configurations for your existing environments hosted at data centers in Europe (Tenant ID starting 'l' or 'f') to route traffic to the same regional SMTP servers that currently service your Commerce application.

Actions

I. DKIM Record was Already Created

DKIM record was previously established for your Commerce application. Since Oracle Email Delivery DKIM records are associated with the regional SMTP service sending email, a new DKIM record will need to be established prior to updating your environment config

WHAT TO EXPECT

During August 2021, Oracle will need to work with you directly to establish the DKIM record and communicate the new CNAME record for your teams to implement.

Please open a service request with Oracle to begin coordination of that change.

The process will be identical to the steps in this support article Can DKIM be Used with Cx Commerce for Email Authentication? (Doc ID 2745996.1).

YOUR ACTIONS

To Ensure a Smooth Update:

• Please open a SR (Service Request) with Oracle Support via My Oracle Support Portal to begin coordinating your email server change— enter a Support Request and use your CSI.  The same steps described in Can DKIM be Used with Cx Commerce for Email Authentication? (Doc ID 2745996.1) article will be followed.

• Respond immediately to any outstanding communications from Oracle about your update.

• Once the DKIM change has been made, if you do not use any other OCI services utilizing the Americas SMTP servers, you may remove the following SPF record:

• Respond immediately to any outstanding communications from Oracle about your update.
