(Doc ID 2800152.1)
Last updated on SEPTEMBER 16, 2021
Applies to:Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management Cloud Service - Version 18.104.22.168 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
P6 Cloud Primavera Virtual Desktop (PVD) customers on OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) will be required to change their URL starting with the September 2021 update versions 20.12.9 and 21.9.
This change in PVD URLs is in preparation for future activation of Akamai for PVD for even better performance.
The new PVD URLs as of versions 20.12.9 and 21.9 will be as listed in the below table:
|Data Center||PVD Base URL|
As an example, below is a current PVD URL and then a future PVD URL:
- Current PVD URL - https://p6.oraclecloud.com/<SERVICE_INSTANCE>/pvd/sgd
- Future (20.12.9/21.9) PVD URL - https://pvd.oraclecloud.com/<SERVICE_INSTANCE>/pvd/sgd
If the current PVD URL was allow-listed, then the new PVD URL will also need to be allow-listed.
If PVD is accessed via a bookmark, then the bookmark will need to be updated with the new URL.
If PVD is accessed via the Primavera Virtual Desktop link in the Primavera Portal, then that URL will be updated during the 20.12.9 or 21.9 update so no action is needed other than click the link to launch PVD.
Please note that the URL change does not go into effect until all Production environments are updated to 21.9 or later for customers on the LER release path or 20.12.9 or later for customers on the SSR release path. Until all Production environments are updated, the existing URL is used for all non-Production and all Production environments. After all Production environments are updated, then the new URL is used for all non-Production and all Production environments.
Please note that the activation of Akamai will be performed at a future date to be determined; as that date nears updates will be provided in this solution.
