Symptoms

Users have enabled shorthand alias for GL COA. When they select a value from Account Alias in Create Journal UI, it bounces the browser. Intermittently page gives an error message:
'An application error has occurred. Your help desk can use the following information to obtain a more detailed description of this incident:<incident number>'
