Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

This document explains how to troubleshoot when the build fails in the "Managed Build Stage" with an error message similar to the following:

"Unable to fetch connection details from secret vault for build source githubRepoMain and secretId <SECRET_ID>.

Changes

While creating an external connection to github or gitlab repositories, customers associate vaultsecret which holds the sensitive information (Personal Access Token, PAT for the repository) for this connection.

This issue usually happens when a customer forgets to give READ permissions to DevOps Build Pipeline resource for reading this vaultsecret.
