Using a Wildcard in -REMOTE_FILE for ODIScpGet to Get Multiple Files Does Not Work (Doc ID 2815612.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 26, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator on Marketplace - Version 12.2.1.4.210517 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When attempting to copy multiple files with the same extension from an SSH server using OdiScpGet with a wildcard like *.csv, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) creates a file called "*.csv", instead of pulling multiple files.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Apply the ODI 12.2.1.4.210517 Bundle Patch
2. Create an OdiScpGet Package with the -REMOTE_FILE=*.<EXTENSION>
3. Execute the Package using OdiScpGet to copy files from an SSH server with a wildcard search like *.csv and the behavior occurs

 EXAMPLE
-REMOTE_FILE=*.csv

results in one file named *.csv instead of multiple <FILENAME>.csv files.
