Automate Notification in Case of Any Planned/Unplanned Downtime of GoldenGate (GG) Extract (Doc ID 2817649.1)

Goal


Find that replication downtimes happen in a couple of instances with the Oracle Could Infrastructure (OCI) GoldenGate Service (GGS) service. When this occurs, you see that the receiver service goes down at the GGS end. The Cloud Operations team restored replication after taking actions to bring up the Extract service on the SaaS GG end. After this occurrence, it is found that monitoring and auto-restart are enabled at the SaaS end. It would be helpful to determine if the service can automatically notify in case of any planned/unplanned downtime of GG Extract.
