Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

What is the expected behavior when RPL is entered directly into Dynamic Variable Textbox?

Enter values into the Default text box of the Data source for a variable. It can be saved at this step. However, at launch the value entered into the Default text box is not applied as a script.

For example:

Dynamic variable names:
TEST_FIELD                                       ---First variable: just a text copy not using the script icon (this one seems to work ok)
TEST_FIELD_WITH_SCRIPT                 ---Second one: pulling in a data field, not using the script icon (it failed)
RPL code: ${PET.DISPLAY_NAME_1}     ---Third one: pulling in a data field, using the script icon (works fine)
