Unable To Delete Fields Or Change Field Names On Custom Asset Types (Doc ID 2819489.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to change the Content Item Data Fields on our Commercial-Product asset type we get the following error:

“Error
com.oracle.cec.asset.framework.exceptions.common.FrameworkException: com.oracle.cec.asset.framework.exceptions.common.FrameworkException”

All assets of this type are currently unpublished, in a ‘Draft’ status.

To replicate this, attempt to change the Content Item Data Field labeled “Active to”’s field name from ‘discontinued_to’ -> ‘active_to’.

This error also occurs when we try to delete any Content Item Data Field.
