When Accessing A Workflow Type BP Record There Are Duplicate Tasks For One Or More Users For the Same Workflow Step (Doc ID 2820790.1)

Last updated on MARCH 02, 2022

Primavera Unifier Cloud Service - Version 21.12 to 21.12 [Release 21.12]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When processing some Business Process (BP) records for BP1, when the record reaches a specific workflow step we'll call "WF+3", some users are found to be assigned to this same Workflow task twice. If the WF task is completed, the workflow progress window still displays a second task for the same user with "In Progress" status and at the same step. This behavior is random and is not occurring with every BP1 record that is processed.

A single user should only be assigned one task for a specific workflow step. There may be multiple users assigned to that step, but each user should only have one task.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log into the Unifier Environment.
  2. Navigate to Project/Shell where the issue was reported > Upper BP node > BP1 > Find and open the BP1-0001 Record.
  3. Click on "Workflow Progress" tab, note that the BP1 record is at "WF+3" workflow step.
  4. Note that for multiple users they have two tasks assigned for the "WF+3" Step. The top tasks have been "Completed" by each, but the bottom tasks statuses are "In Progress".
