SIOCS Webservice Returning Invalid Error (Doc ID 2822180.1)

Goal

SIOCS webservice returning "invalid error " when trying to consume the below webservice for reading uin detail.
https://***MASKED HOSTNAME AND PORT***/StoreInventoryUinBean/StoreInventoryUinService

When the UIN is not in database webservice is returning "500 Internal server error and validation error".

Is this an expected behavior, as it could be a common scenario where the provided input is not in the database?
