ODI on MP VNC Server No Longer Accepts Connections after a Period of Inactivity (Doc ID 2829866.1)

Symptoms

A VNC (Virtual Network Computing) connection to Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) on Marketplace times out after a few hours of inactivity, and the VNC server no longer accepts any new connections. The VNC server cannot be manually killed through either the vncserver tool or the Linux kill -9 command.

This behavior remains until the instance is restarted. However, it occurs again after another period of inactivity.

Changes

The behavior may occur after a manual or automatic update of the underlying Linux operating system.
