How to Apply the latest CPU Patches on a SOACS 12.2.1.4 Instance (Doc ID 2835754.1)

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

This document provides steps on how to apply the latest CPU/PSU to your SOA 12.2.1.4 environment.

Before you apply the latest patches please note the following:

- Downtime will be required when applying a patch on a domain. Please plan accordingly.
- The Latest PSU is available with version 12.2.1.4.
- Before applying the WLS PSU with the opatch utility make sure that the Admin and Managed Servers are stopped.
- If you have multiple nodes for the instance make sure you apply the patch in all the VM Nodes.
- Make sure that you check the patch ReadMe in order to follow all the pre-requisites.
- Before applying the patches they need to be downloaded on the instance VMs. After the patch(es) are applied it is suggested to remove the patches from the disk.

Make sure the patch ReadMe is followed and the pre-requisites are done before a patch is applied, and post install steps are done after the patches are applied.
