P6ProCloudConnect Login Fails with Error "Bad alias/connection name. Invalid database name" (Doc ID 2851536.1)

When attempting to log into P6 Professional using the P6ProCloudConnect driver, the login window hangs and the following error is shown in the Primavera.CacheService.log file:

Information Exception System.Exception: Invalid database name xxxxx
at Primavera.Mimosa.Types.CloudSupport.CloudConnection.EstablishSession(String Username, String Password, String DatabaseName, String Host, String LanguageId, SSOAuthenticationInfo authInfo, Int32 ReadTimeout, String AliasName, Boolean UseRetryPolicy)
at Primavera.Venus.Data.CloudStore.CloudDataStore.InitializeConnection(AliasDetail alias, String username, String password, String LanguageId, SSOAuthenticationInfo authInfo, Boolean useTwoStepLogin, Boolean createDirectConnection, Boolean UseRetryPolicy)

The same database alias worked previously.
