Goal
In our project, we have a requirement of an annual front-loaded absence plan, where we need to prorate the leave balance based on the employee’s FTE, that is it should be prorated based on the number of days employee has spent in each FTE.
So, for example, let us consider our plan provides 15 days front-loaded to the full-time employees every year. Now if an employee is hired on 17th January 2018 with an FTE of 0.6, that for the remaining 349 days the employee should get (((15/365) *349) *0.6) days in the 2018. Now on 1st Jan 2019 the FTE of the employee is 0.6, however the employee’s FTE is increased to 0.8 on 17th July 2019, so our requirement is that the employee should get ((((16/365) *197) *0.6) + (((16/365) *168) *0.8)) days front-loaded in 2019.
However currently based on our created formula, we are observing that the employee is getting the leave balance front-loaded based upon the FTE which is at the beginning of the year or end of the year.?
