Getting Error "ORA-00001: Unique Constraint (APEX_XXXXXX.WWV_FLOW_WORKSHEET_RPTS_UK) Violated" When Importing APEX App by Reusing Same App ID (Doc ID 2855380.1)

Symptoms

1.- When attempting to import an application over an existing one by re-using the same application ID, the following error occurs:

     Execution of the statement was unsuccessful.
     ORA-00001: unique constraint (APEX_XXXXXX.WWV_FLOW_WORKSHEET_RPTS_UK) violated

2.- The issue does not reproduce if the application is imported by auto-assigning a new application ID.

3.- The solution described in the following note does not solve the issue:
     Unable To Import Apex Application - Unique Constraint Error - Saved/named Public Interactive Reports (Doc ID 1595217.1)
