How to Configure the Requests to a Sub-Folder of the OCC Host URL to Point to an External Service? (Doc ID 2856780.1)

Last updated on MARCH 29, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Commerce Cloud Service - Version 22.1.8 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The purpose of this document is to provide more information on how to configure the requests to a certain directory to go to an external service.

In this scenario, assuming that the OCC site and all its pages are under the host: https://www.exampleHost.com/, the requirement would be to have all pages under https://www.exampleHost.com/occExternalWebsite/* and all its sub-paths hosted on another web application server.

e.g:
https://www.exampleHost.com/ - OCC page.
https://www.exampleHost.com/collectionExample - OCC collection page.
https://www.exampleHost.com/occExternalWebsite/ - Homepage on some other custom web application, not on OCC.
https://www.exampleHost.com/occExternalWebsite/exampleSubpage - Sub-page on some other custom web application, not on OCC.
