Symptoms

Oracle Linux 7 system migrated from AWS to OCI using a third party migration tool (Rackware)

After a successful initial boot, the OS is updated with "yum update"

Rebooting after the updates results in a non-booting system. Console shows "grub>" prompt during initial boot process.

Issue is reproducible every time.
