An "Alert <Date Element Name> Input Required" Message Is Being Displayed In Unifier When Processing A Business Process (BP) Record Even When A Value Is Selected (Doc ID 2857269.1)

In multiple business processes (BP) there is a data element (DE1) that is a BP picker that is "Required" in the upper form when creating a new BP Record. The user selects a value from the pick list for this field and selects it, but when they attempt to process the new record, the Alert message below is displayed that indicates "Input" into that specific "DE1" picker field is required. The users try to remove the value from the field and then add it back, and the Alert message is still being displayed. In the Stage environment the field was made "not required" and thee BP records could be successfully created without the error message.

"Alert To <DE1>: Input required'

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log into the Unifier environment.
  2. Navigate to Project/Shell where the issue has been observed > User Mode > BP Upper Node > BP1 > +Create > Default Workflow
  3. Enter all required fields including the BP Picker "DE1" > Click Send > Send to next workflow step > Send > Receive the Alert message noted above.
  4. Review the data element in question and there is a value entered into it, but the error is still displayed.
