Importing Line Items Including Attachments to Document-Type BP Does Not Update 'Title', 'Revision' and 'Issue Date' Fields (Doc ID 2860925.1)

Last updated on APRIL 20, 2022

Applies to:

Primavera Unifier Cloud Service - Version 20.12.10.0 to 22.4 [Release 20.12 to 22.4]
Primavera Unifier - Version 20.12.10.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When importing Line Items to Document-type BP, the system fields for "Title", "Revision No.", and "Issue Date" are not being stored  to the related Document Property Data Elements (DE) and therefore do not carry forward to the Document Properties in the Document Manager when the document is published.

If the user edits an imported Line Item and then saves the Line Item (or manually enters a new line item), the fields get transferred to the document properties of the corresponding attachment when the workflow completes and the attachment gets published.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
When importing line items to the Document-Type BP, the system fields for "Title", "Revision No.", and "Issue Date" should be stored  to the related Document Property Data Elements (DE) and carry forward to the Document Properties in the Document Manager when the document is published.

STEPS
-----------------------

  1. Login as a user with permissions to import Line Items and Attachments to the BP Records.
  2. Navigate to a Project/Shell.
  3. Navigate to the Document-type BP Log.
  4. Create a new record.
  5. Complete the required fields in the Upper Form.
  6. Navigate to the Detail Form.
  7. Actions > Import
  8. Select the file to import or drag and it onto the window.
  9. Complete the import wizard
  10. Notice that the "Title", "Revision No." and "Issue Date" are present in record.
  11. Observe that these DEs are not going to carry over the Document Manager when the attachment is published unless you perform a save.
