Please make Custom Validation Rules functionality in Merchandising available for Cost Changes

Please raise an enhancement request to make Custom Validation Rules functionality in MFCS available for Cost Change submission and approval? At the moment it is only available for Items, POs, Suppliers and Partners.

We have a requirement to make submission and approval of cost changes depending on of it is
- a cost decrease (anyone can do it), or
- a cost increase (only selected roles can do it)
- the increase/decrease amount (additional restrictions apply)

Describe how the current product functionality is insufficient.

Answer: The only restrictions that exists in MFCS, when creating a cost price change, are functionality driven. In other words, if you can access the cost change screen, you can submit cost changes. If you have approval duties assigned for cost change approval, you can approve any change, regardless of the change amount, and if its an increase or decrease.

Provide a detailed description of the Enhancement Request.

Answer: We'd like the Custom Validation Rules functionality to be extended to include Cost Submission and Approval. And we want this functionality to enable us to make distinctions between cost decreases and cost increases, and the size of the cost increase amount. This would allow us to let category assistants submit and approve cost changes when the cost decreases. And we can make sure that a category manager reviews the cost change for approval when it is a cost increase, as the category assistant can only allow submitting a cost increase, not approve. And if the cost increase is more than value or percentage X (which should also be configurable as custom validation rule), the cost change can only be approved by another more senior role.

Describe how this Enhancement will benefit your business.

Answer: This added functionality will allow us to continue making most efficient use of everyone's time, based on their role. This functionality is currently supported by our legacy system, and we don't want to lose it when implementing MFCS.
