Symptoms

In the Approval History, the approval requester's comment is listed twice, once with the request for approval action in the beginning and again at the end with the final submit action.

Example of steps to reproduce (if three approvals are needed):

  • Create a new transaction
  • Submit, enter a comment (example: "Request approval comment")
  • This comment should now be seen in the “Approvals” tab
  • Proxy login as the first approver user and approve, enter a comment (example: “Approver 1 comment”)
  • Proxy login as the second approver user and approve, enter a comment (example: “Approver 2 comment”)
  • Proxy login as the third approver user and approve, enter a comment (example: “Approver 3 comment”)

Example of Approval History:

  • User [requester] submitted for approval on the date [date] with comments: Request approval comment.
  • User [approver1] approved [Branch] on the date [date] with comments: Approver 1 comment.
  • User [approver2] approved [Branch] on the date [date] with comments: Approver 2 comment.
  • User [approver3] approved [Branch] on the date [date] with comments: Approver 3 comment.
  • Approvals completed on the date [date] with comments: Request approval comment.
