Custom Shipment Event On NUM_ORDER_RELEASES Doesn't Trigger Agent As Expected (Doc ID 2864137.1)

Symptoms

You have configured a custom shipment agent event as a modification event and mapped it to the NUM_ORDER_RELEASES column of the shipment table.

The intention is to trigger a shipment automation agent when this field is modified.

When modifying this field (i.e. by adding another order to a shipment), the event is not raised and the agent that has been configured to trigger from the custom event does not run.
