Selecting Referenced Records Using the BP Picker Hangs the Browser Window (Doc ID 2865549.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to create a new record, and selecting a reference Business Process (BP) using a BP Picker, the browser window freezes and the browser needs to be restarted.
The following error occurs.

ERROR
-----------------------
Page unresponsive. You can wait for them to become responsive or exit the page.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Sign into the environment, and navigate to the applicable workspace
  2. Create a new BP record and try to select another BP record for reverence using the BP Picker
  3. After this step everything is frenzied, the entire Unifier not just this page
  4. If you try to close it, it will give:" Page unresponsive. You can wait for them to become responsive or exit the page
  5. With the following options: wait or exit pages

The issue has the following business impact: Due to this issue, users cannot create new records.
