Goal

Customer is attempting to access Assignment historical DBI like PER_HIST_ASG_ASSIGNMENT_ID, PER_HIST_ASG_EFFECTIVE_START_DATE, PER_HIST_ASG_PRIMARY_FLAG from Element Input Validation.

So, they have written a "Payroll Access to HR" formula to access these DBIs. They are calling this "payroll access to hr" formula from the element input validation formula.
This element input validation formula is attached to the element. This element is linked to the ICP.

Scenario1: When they try to create element directly in Payroll Element Entry, then the DBI PER_HIST_ASG_ASSIGNMENT_ID is returning values
Scenario2: When they try to create an ICP from an HR specialist role, then the DBI PER_HIST_ASG_ASSIGNMENT_ID is returning values
Scenario3: When they try to create an ICP from an Employee role, then the DBI PER_HIST_ASG_ASSIGNMENT_ID is not returning values. Its erroring out.

Customer has a requirement to calculate the entitlement amount based on the grades of the employee during an year. So, they need to access the historical assignment data to get all the grades and based on grades, they have to compute the entitlement amount.

How does one access the historical assignment information DBI in employee role?
