Journal Posting ERROR - PPOS0002: Posting Terminated With Irrecoverable Errors. (Doc ID 2874225.1)

Symptoms

On : 11.13.22.01.0 version, Journals and Intercompany

When attempting to Import Journals,
the following error occurs.

ERROR

PERF0005: Oracle error detected in function glpcsl() - ORA-00001: unique constraint (FUSION.GL_JE_HEADERS_U2) violated

 

Extract from log file:

SHRD0117: Inserted the following number of records into the GL_JE_BATCHES table: 1
PERF0005: Oracle error detected in function glpcsl() - ORA-00001: unique constraint (FUSION.GL_JE_HEADERS_U2) violated
PPOS0002: Posting terminated with irrecoverable errors.



STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Tools
2. Scheduled Processes
3. Import Journals

BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot import journals.

 

The issue is present also in posting manual journal.

The problem is not only with the imported journals. Journals created manually from the front end, through ADFDi as well as FBDI are all not being posted. They correctly imported and saved but the posting is running into an error.

The gl_interface table doesn't have any rows.

Users are not facing issue in Import, rather issue is in GL posting.

The issue is for journals with categories which are set to be transferred to secondary ledger. It occurs for all journals.

Where the journal is not transferred to secondary ledger, then posting is working.

FSM templates have been used for the ledger relationship setup.
