Why does resource assignment duration change after creating a new project during XER import then selecting F5 refresh, which occurs before scheduling or modifying any project or activity data?

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

In P6 Professional after XER import completes, then if F5 refresh is selected will update the resource assignment duration and making it different than the activity's duration.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

In P6 Professional after XER import completes, then if F5 refresh is selected should not update the resource assignment duration, making it different than the activity's duration.

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Login to P6 Professional.
2. Import XER and Create New Project with resource assignments
3. From Activities page, display lower Resources tab and F5 refresh
4. Result: the resource assignment duration is updated, making it different than the activity's duration (see illustration below):
