Back In Stock Notifications Sent For Inactive Products

'Back in stock' notifications are being sent to the shoppers even when the product is made unavailable (inactive).
For an out of stock SKU, on the PDP the shopper requests to be notified by email when the item is back in stock.
In Admin, the SKU is marked as inactive.
More stock is added for the selected SKU, and even though it is still marked as inactive, the email notification will be sent.
The 'back in stock' notifications should only be sent if the product is active and has stock.
The shoppers should not receive 'back in stock' notifications for inactive products, as they won't be able to purchase the item on the website.
