LINE LEVEL SINGLE SELECT MENU VALUE IS NOT SAVED (Doc ID 2884442.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 13, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle BigMachines CPQ Cloud Service - Version 22 B Patch 2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When triggering an action, while the action is still running (the blue circle is spinning), after selecting a value for a Single Select Menu attribute, and then triggering the action again, the selected value of the Single Select Menu is not saved. In the UI the value is shown.
If the quote is refreshed, the old value will appear.

Steps to reproduce the issue:
1. Create a Single Select Menu attribute and add it on the Line Item Grid
2. Add BML code on the action you wish to use, so that the action will execute slowly.
3. On a quote, trigger the action.
4. While the action is still running (the blue circle is spinning), select a value for the Single Select Menu from the Line Item Grid
5. Trigger the action again to be sure that the value selected on the Single Select Menu attribute is saved.
6. Refresh/ Reload the quote.
7. Notice that the value selected is not saved, and the old value remained (blank, if nothing was previously selected)
