In a book where the depreciation calendar is defined as yearly, a group asset added in the current year has a negative YTD_DEPRN amount, but the DEPRN_AMOUNT is positive, which is inconsistent.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Add a group asset.
2. Add a member asset with some backdated DPIS and amortization start date.
3. Add another member asset with some backdated DPIS and amortization start date.
4. Perform a cost adjustment to the first member.
5. Run Depreciation
The resulting YTD Depreciation can be some inconsistent number, even a negative amount.
