Symptoms
ACTUAL ISSUE
-------------------------
When changing column widths in User Defined Report (UDR) edit scree, users receive the error below when saving changes.
After the user set some column widths, the total width number for the columns that were changed is not the sum of the widths, but is instead a concatenated string of all the individual column widths appended to the default value. Once this number exceeds the maximum available width, it raises and error message below. This prevents the UDR changes from being saved.
ERROR:
------------------
"The report total column width is greater than the maximum available width"
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Log in to Unifier
- Navigate to Company Workspace (user mode) > Reports > User-Defined
- Select Edit from the gear icon next to the UDR
- Select the Columns tab, select any Data Element (DE) row, right-click and open it
- Set column width to desired value and save
- Notice the new 'current width(in pixels)' value will read some large random number and not the total width
- Click Save Report, and the error message will appear.
