BP Record Opened From the Reference Records Link Can Not Be Edited (Doc ID 2891898.1)

When a user who has edit rights opens a record from the Reference Records tab of a Business Process (BP) record, the record opens in the view form and there is no Edit option. However, when the user opens that record directly from the BP log, the record can be edited.

As long as the user has edit rights and is able to edit the record when it is opened from the BP log, the user should be able to edit the record when it is opened from the Reference Records tab of another record.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Sign into Unifier
  2. Navigate to the applicable workspace
  3. Open a BP record and click on the Reference Records tab
  4. Double click on a record listed in this tab
  5. The edit form briefly comes up, then it switches to the view form
  6. Navigate to the BP log for the record opened in step 4 and open that record
  7. Notice there is the Edit option in upper right hand corner.
